EduSkills+Media2: Building Media Skills Together

Despre proiect
Media consumption among young children has become a pressing concern, with 22% of children under six years owning personal digital devices. While technology offers numerous benefits, it also raises challenges such as exposure to inappropriate content, conflicts over screen time, and limited parental engagement in media discussions.
Teachers report that many children struggle with interpreting digital content, leading to potential risks such as misunderstanding online messages or encountering harmful materials. At the same time, parents often lack the tools or knowledge to effectively guide their children’s media use, with many struggling to set healthy boundaries.

EduSkills+Media2
EduSkills+Media2 addresses these challenges by transforming kindergarten teachers into key facilitators of media literacy education. By equipping educators with practical teaching strategies, supporting parents in understanding media's impact, and providing children with early exposure to responsible media habits, the project fosters a holistic approach to media education.
EduSkills+Media2 builds on the success of the initial EduSkills+Media initiative, expanding efforts to promote media literacy and responsible media use among children, educators, and parents. In today's digital world, where media consumption starts at an increasingly younger age, this project aims to create a learning partnership between teachers, caregivers, and children to navigate the media landscape safely and effectively.
Objectives
The primary goal of EduSkills+Media2 is to enhance media literacy by fostering responsible media habits from an early age. The project focuses on:
