Quiz — Make a Guess

Prepare several questions (with using PPP or not) and let them guess the right answer in groups. Afterwards you reveal the right answer and discuss with them.

Goal

The goal is to convey information in a playful way and let parents warm up with each other. They discuss the questions in a group and it helps them to get to know each other more and dive into the topic.

Steps

Research some interesting facts and numbers related to media use and write down 3–5 questions, examples:

  • What do you guess is the recommended screen time by WHO for four year old children?
  • What is the average screen time of five year olds according to studies?
  • Which is the favorite TV series of kids in the kindergarten?

Divide the parents in groups of 3–5 people and give them 5–10 min. time to write down their guess on a prepared numbered card.

After going through all questions reveal the answers after asking the parents for their guess. You can prepare a small symbolic prize for the winning group.
