Goal

Increase reflection on media use at home in a playful way.

Steps

1

Explain what a challenge is to the kids.

Make up a task (maybe together with the kids in your group) for the challenge, possible tasks:

  • Spend one day of the weekend without digital devices.
  • Make a picnic or tour to the playground without your phone.
  • Make a small trip to an unknown place without using navigation tools but using a map instead.

Inform the parents about your challenge and give them a time frame.

Ask the kids and parents how it went, did they manage the challenge, what was difficult etc.
